Link your employees together, creating an easy outlet for important information and fostering a more family-like atmosphere. An Intranet can be used to update employees about important issues or lead employees to posted safety, pay, and human resources documents. The CEO or department heads can use it to speak to employees through a blog or regular message. Or an online company newsletter can take the place of a print publication, saving money and ensuring people with a computer actually get the publication. Websites need to be concise and web out naturally to links that allow the audience to get more information when and where they want. Adding interactive elements encourages audience members to visit your site, which should be written at a basic, easy-to-read level.
